Activity Description

Journey from Malalane to South Africa’s only Jane Goodall chimpanzee sanctuary. At Chimp Eden, rescued chimpanzees – once victims of the bushmeat trade, illegal pet and entertainment industries – live in large semi-wild enclosures, safe to express their natural behaviours. You’ll join a guided 1-1.5 hour tour, climb vantage points overlooking forest and foraging zones, meet individual chimps and hear their moving stories, observe their rich group dynamics, and learn what’s being done to protect these endangered primates. Every visit supports their care, healing, and conservation.
